I just got a call from my mum, and she told me my sister was out last night, and she stepped on a needle/syringe thing She went to the hospital and she's had loads of blood tests and I guess all we have to do now is wait until the results come back, but I am not sure how long that will take What happens if she picked something up?! Its really upset me, I dont know what to do or think, but god I hope she is okay

Thanks Terry
I just got off the phone to her, I think she is more p*ssed off at the b*stard that left the syringe lying around, than she is upset about the whole thing.
I still dont know when she finds out if she's got the all clear or not, she has to go in to the hospital again tomorrow

Oh Jen, I really hope your sister's going to be OK. What a horrible thing to happen to her The alternatives don't bear thinking about do they? I hope the hospital don't take too long getting back to you all with the results of those tests.

Thanks you guys
Its going to be absolutely ages before we find out She went back to the docs/hospital yesterday, and they said she has to come in for tests every 3 months for a year. They can progressivly tell her from these blood tests what results come back clear/not etc, but cant give 100% positive all clear for a whole year!

Aww Jen i'm sorry! i know exactly how you feel. My sister used to work as a cleaner in a hospital but some fool put a syringe in a paper bin and it went into my sisters hand. the only difference is between your story and mine is that my sister was pregnant at the time so there was nothing they could do without harming the baby. But they gave her the all clear eventually
i hope you get some good news
